The prognosis of uncorrected severe mitral regurgitation (MR) is poor, however there is limited data on the prognosis of MR across the spectrum of severity. In addition, there is limited data on the prognosis of different causes of MR. We examined the National Echo Database of Australia and linkage with mortality, and text extraction using Natural Language Processing provided by Echo IQ, to address these important issues
